STORM CS32

3,200W tunable color high fidelity point source lamp with Aputure mount

SKU: AP0701051UUPC: 850065294407

Compete with daylight and create sunsets with this 3,200W point source fixture that matches the brightness of industry-standard 4,000W HMIs while also offering full color tunability.

BLAIR-CG With Extended Red: The Best Tunable White Light and the Best Tunable Color

The Aputure STORM CS32 utilizes the BLAIR-CG With Extended Red (Blue/Lime/Amber/Indigo/Red/Cyan/Green) light engine, delivering the highest quality white light with exceptional SSI ratings, a CCT range from 1,800-20,000K with full 100% +/- Green adjustment, and an expansive tunable color range covering more than 90% of Rec. 2020. Indigo emitters activate the natural fluorescence of materials for a more accurate appearance, and Extended Red enhances skin tones while maintaining high output.

Brightest Light at Any Power

Wherever it is in use in the world, the STORM CS32 is the brightest tunable color point source light that can be powered on a household circuit. At a maximum 3200W power draw, it outputs white light as bright as a 4K HMI or 10K tungsten fresnel lamp. In 220V countries, the STORM CS32 can run at full power from a common 15amp household circuit. For North America, the STORM CS32 includes two power cables: a bare lead cable for wiring to professional power systems to run at full power in either 110V or 220V, and a power cable with a household “Edison” connector for use with 110V/20amp circuits. The CS32 Control Box recognizes this cable and limits its maximum power draw appropriately, up to 80% of the light’s full brightness.

Portable Yet Powerful

The STORM CS32 is small and lightweight enough for one person to use. The lamp head weighs 16.8kg and the control box just 10.8kg. The size is kept low as well, so even with the optional CF16 fresnel and skid, it can fit fully assembled onto lighting truck shelving or on a lighting head cart. The small cube-like lamp head dimensions also allow multiple STORM CS32 lights to be rigged closely together to create powerful arrays in a limited space.

Extend Your Reach

With additional cables, the 7.5m STORM CS32 head cable can be extended up to 45m. Place the lamp head in a cherry picker and leave the control box on the ground to save on weight and keep physical controls nearby.

The Best Tunable White Light

The Best Tunable White Light

The white light output of the STORM CS32 rivals the quality of true tungsten light and natural daylight, allowing critical lighting of faces, products, and any subjects that require the best tunable white spectrum. The STORM CS32 uses the latest generation of our BLAIR-CG With Extended Red light engine, with excellent white light (SSI [P3200]: 93, SSI [CIE D5600]: 91) and adjustability: 1,800-20,000K CCT and full ASC MITC range +/- Green. Indigo enhances fluorescing materials just like natural daylight and tungsten, while Extended Red enriches skin tones.

The Greatest Tunable Color Spectrum

The Greatest Tunable Color Spectrum

The STORM CS32 generates the accurate spectrum of saturated colors with the ease of familiar HSIC+, RGB, and xy controls. The BLAIR-CG With Extended Red light engine can reach saturated colors across more than 90% of the Rec. 2020 color space. Closely matching the spectrum of important colors like yellow in any CCT makes the CS32 useful to achieve deep crimson sunsets, rich sodium vapor night street scenes, as well as adding subtle color effects to white light without gels.
